Chippendale first to use the new MAN Roland System
Date:12/12/2007
Once again proving to be a leader in its industry by installing the TelePresence system in its two large 12 colour MAN Roland perfecting presses, Chippendale Printing is giving its print operators and customers a view of the printing process that no one in the southern hemisphere has ever seen.
TelePresence is the latest development from Man Roland which provides an online diagnostic and monitoring system for its presses. The new development consists of six cameras installed within the press. One in the feeder system, one in the delivery system and four within the press.
All six cameras monitor different areas of the sheet path. This enables the press operator to check on what is happening inside the press while operating at speeds of up to 13,000 impressions per hour whilst straight printing and 12,000 impressions per hour whilst perfecting.
The TelePresence system also allows Man Roland technicians in Germany to monitor every aspect of the presses performance in real time and provide feedback to our operators on performance issues during the course of a job run.
And if you were wondering the cameras are fitted with their own remote lens cleaning system to ensure the picture stays clear without any manual intervention.
